Perhaps the most important watch and dial configuration when considering vintage Rolex, or Rolex in general. Known today to be one of the most prestigious and valuable watches ever produced by Rolex. The Rolex Daytona exotic dial received its name the "Paul Newman", after the famed actor and then racecar driver Paul Newman chose a Rolex 6239 Daytona with exotic Panda Dial configuration as his personal watch. In October of 2017, Paul Newman's personal Rolex exotic Ref. 6239 was auctioned by Phillips auction house in NYC for $17.75M making it the most expensive and iconic wristwatch ever sold.

CASE & BRACELET
The lightly polished case remains thick with even lugs, showing little wear from use. The case back is stamped "6239 C.R.S.". The watch has a correct 722-1 movement and 300 UPH Bezel.The watch also retains its original T-21 Rolex crystal which is free from any scratches, cracking or crazing. The watch comes supplied with a 3pc brown leather bund strap similar to the one that Paul Newman himself would often be seen wearing with his 6239 Daytona.
DIAL & HANDS
The gorgeous and rare 3 color "Paul Newman Exotic Dial" remains in remarkable condition, the dial is a crisp matte white coloration and the red minute track is fully intact. The lume plots are present, consistent in coloration and texture, and match the lume within the hands perfectly. The 1, 2, 3, and 5 o'clock markers have some minor degradation when viewed under a loupe and U.V. light but are visible when on the wrist. The original tritium filled hands remain completely intact showing no lume loss when viewed under U.V. light.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is running at spec extended service history is unknown although when placed on the scope the watch runs flat and is keeping time at COSC
