The Czapek Antarctique Rattrappante Silver Grey watch is the result of a complex manufacturing process at the brand’s facilities. The mechanism exposed through the dial side came about as one collector observed the hypnotic beauty of the cams belonging to a limited-edition chronograph developed in 2012, which ran on a small series of vintage Valjoux 7733 movements. The split second concept then emerged in 2015, with full visual access to the ballet of cams, levers and wheels granted to the wearer. The limited to 77 pieces Czapek Antarctique Rattrappante Silver Grey watch measures a 42.5mm diameter and features a boxed sapphire crystal glass front, a sapphire caseback to expose the Calibre SXH6 movement, and a screw down crown to assist with an impressive 120 meter water resistance.
The Calibre SXH6 is the spectacle of the entire design of this Czapek Antarctique watch. It features column wheels, a chronograph horizontal clutch, a patent pending split second clamp, and provides a 60 hour power reserve, as well as presenting a stunning 5N rose gold rotor emblazoned with the Czapek logo. The watch also features blued steel hands, a small second counter at 7 o’clock and a 30 minute counter at 5 o’clock, as well as a split second chronograph function for interval timings. The men’s Czapek Antarctique Rattrappante watch is completed on an integrated stainless steel bracelet with a Czapek exclusive Easy Release system.
